Why do dogs Rub their Faces ?
Replies
Dogs have glands that leave their scent, and rubbing their faces on “their” belongings (including people, bed, blankets and toys) tells the world “This is mine!”
actually they are marking 'their' things.😁

dogs may rub their heads and faces in the grass and against other surfaces in order to remove food, dirt or debris from their face, teeth or gums after eating.

Several reasons -
- Just itchy - can't ask hooman to help 😄
- After eating - cleaning their mouths in case of broth or any liquidy food.
- Skin allergy - though that's not restricted to just the face
- Dental issues - rubbing face to reduce pain since they can't touch their tooth and gums 🥺
- Ear infection - especially when it's high time they took a bath
If it's casual and less, it's just a normal itch. ✅

You may observe Woofey's behaviour in the long run. And then consult the vet. Too much rubbing can increase any infection.

Dogs will frequently groom themselves similar to cats’ habits by licking their paws and then rubbing their faces or muzzles. To get those hard-to-clean spots, they might rub their face on carpets, furniture or some grass. Some dogs are clean freaks and can’t stand a piece of food left on their face or between their teeth
