Slippery floors can cause hip dysplasia or hip dislocation in future.. They may get slipped while running on such surfaces.

Yes, Walking on tiles or marble floors can potentially injure a dog's leg, particularly if the dog is not accustomed to the surface or if the surface is slippery. To prevent this, ensure that your dog is comfortable and has good footing before allowing it to walk on these surfaces. If you have any concerns about your dog's safety, consult a veterinarian for advice.

if the dog is sliding or slipping while running on the floor then it can result in causing permanent damage to his joints.

Laminate, tile and hardwood floors look great, and they're easy to keep clean, but your dog's paws aren't designed to walk on such smooth hard surfaces. And that can lead to slipping, sliding and falling – and potentially serious injury.

The only thing I can guess is that the marble is very slippery which might cause them to walk a little more cautiously. And NoN- slippery tiles are safe for dogs...

Tiles are not advisable for dogs since when dogs walk, they want to grasp onto the surface they’re walking on. Since they cannot grip onto floors, this causes their legs to strain.

stone tile is also a practical pet-friendly flooring option. It’s durable and easy to clean, which means spills and stains can be wiped off .

Flooring cannot be completely changed of it's already done. However, precautions can be taken to avoid issues like: Playtime can turn dangerous and dogs can hit their chins on floor, resulting in pain and loss of teeth. It also affects them psychologically and dogs grow tearful of all smooth flooring and limit their movements and confine themselves to one part of the house, leading to problems of muscle atrophy and hip issues. Soft tissue injuries can occur in puppies, because their muscles and ligaments have not finished developing. So atleast we can take our furbabies to run around on terrace, carpet our floor, artificial grass also works wonders, rugs are good, we have to be careful. In case you're working on flooring, textured laminates and granite are both hardy, scratch resistant and do not stain with doggo spills. They are also very easy to clean and are hygienic. Only disadvantage is- it becomes cold and uncomfortable in winter months. Hence provide them with beds or rugs to lie on! More ways to manage a polished surface: Play out in the park/ roof instead of inside. Using rubber backed rugs and yoga mats, create a walkway for your dog across the floor from room to room. Mop any spilled liquid immediately. Place carpet strips on the stairs. Keep your dog’s claws trimmed neatly. Excess fur that grows out from the footpad must be trimmed off. Use Paw pad conditioner to keep pads supple and grip better. Place a rug where they easily land after jumping from top.
