I've noticed many big doggos, awkwardly hunched over their floor-level bowl, should they switch to an elevated dog dish?
Are there any benefits of an elevated food bowls for furbabies? π
Also, any issues with floor-level bowls?
Also, please share your personal anecdotes on how your furbabies have been dining-in. Thank you! π

ya don't Use floor bowls..
The best way to determine the proper feeder height is to measure your dog's wither height (top of its front shoulder). Elevated feeding bowls should be positioned about 6 inches below the pet's wither height. For small dogs subtract 4 inches.

Elevated dog bowls will help with swallowing. When your dog has to bend over to drink water or eat food, they have to move food and water against gravity up the esophagus into the stomach. When you elevate their bowls, it makes swallowing much easier.
elevated food bowls for dogs as preventing bloating in large dogs because they are supposed to create a βhealthier eating posture.β
When a dog has a case of canine arthritis, joint pain, or immobility issues, eating with a head-down posture can cause excess strain and pain.

FLOOR LEVEL DOG BOWLS :-
Floor-level dog feeders are just what their name implies. Theyβre dog dishes that rest parallel to the floor. Typically, a pet parent will keep floor dog bowls on a mat in order to protect the flooring underneath.
Floor dog feeders make excellent choices for smaller dog breeds. Since the dog needs to bend his head and neck in order to reach his meal, floor-level bowls work better for petite pooches.
Moreover, floor-level bowls eliminate the mess that often accompanies elevated dog dishes. This is because floor bowls have deep sides, catching any spillovers.
Elevated DOG BOWLS :-
This allows the bowl to be the same height as a dogβs shoulders to decrease head and neck strain while eating or drinking.
An elevated feeder can reduce pain related to tenseness and arthritis by bringing the food up to shoulder-level, enabling the dog to never bend his neck as he eats.

Raised feeders provide ease of access to food and water which can help facilitate movement of food when traveling from the mouth to the stomach. Consuming food from elevated dog bowls places less strain on the dog's neck, hips, shoulders and joints, which promotes better posture.

For dogs 8-11 inches, a bowl 4 inches high should be used; for dogs 12-15 inches, an 8-inch-high bowl; for dogs 16-19 inches, a 12-inch-high bowl; and for dogs more than 19 inches, a 16-inch-high bowl should be used.

Big dog breeds can benefit the most from raised dog bowls. If your large pup suffers from neck aches, it could be hard for him to eat his meals off of the ground. An elevated feeder can reduce pain related to tenseness and arthritis by bringing the food up to shoulder-level, enabling the dog to never bend his neck as he eats.

Elevated bowls are a great fit for any dogs that struggle with mobility issues. Having your dog's bowl higher off the ground puts less strain on your dog's neck. So if your dog is older or struggles with joint or bone issues, elevated bowls are a great way to make them comfortable when they eat.

For small breeds/puppies
Stainless steel is the best overall option for pet food bowls. It's very durable (won't crack or break if dropped), relatively light and easy to carry, and easy to clean.

However, having an elevated bowl set can help with the issue of food particles and water ending up on a Shih Tzu's face. When facial hairs become damp and dirty, this can lead to the growth of red yeast which is one of the causes of tear staining.

Many dogs push their food bowls around it might be vestigial to the dog's foraging instinct. Many dogs also pick food out of the bowl and carry it to another location to eat it.

Depending on the breed of your dog, and dominance level, it's food looks rather bleak.

He's trying to get on your nerves, or he wants attention. Both ways are the same. Your dog and my dog know that once he does something bad, he'll get your attention and you might scream at him or maybe slap his nose for him to stop, but he thinks it's fun.

I think perhaps they feel they are "hunting" the food and then eat it.
