why do dogs bury their bones or food items? 🤨
Replies
this type of “burying” also follows the natural instinct to keep valued items safe and protected. Although some dogs are more compulsive with this behavior, lots of dogs bury things and are essentially hoarders. They simply want to save these special things in a safe place so they can enjoy them later.

Common
The act of burying bones is a type of "food caching," that is, storing available food supplies for the purpose of later access.

Interesting question Vidushi! 😍
Have you heard of Cesar Millan?
He say, by burying carcasses and bones, dogs were essentially creating natural refrigerators for them. 🌟
The dirt prevented other creatures from smelling and finding them, maintained freshness longer by keeping away sunlight, and also “marinated” the food with the tastes of the earth. 🐶😋
