how to control puppy biting?
Replies
Provide alternatives - teethers, chew toys, chew bones, frozen carrot etc.
If they bite anything they are not supposed to -
1. Say a stern "no"
2. Take away the object or dog from the dog
3. Provide a fun alternative and make it exciting with your tone

puppy bites alot as it's itchy in there teeth area until new teeths come
What you can do is bring some chewing toys, calcium bone and whenever he bites you just say no toh him in agressive manner so that he doesn't repeat it

As you close your hand, say "No!". Let him lick and sniff, but do not give him the treat. When he finally gives up and backs away, praise him and give him the treat. Repeat the above step several times until your pup figures out he gets the treat only when he "OBEYS" the 'NO' command.
There are several Toys (Teething toys) available in the Market.
And checkout the "Expert GUIDE" and Search "Puppy Biting".

When you play with your puppy, let him mouth on your hands. Continue play until he bites especially hard. When he does, immediately give a high-pitched yelp, as if you're hurt, and let your hand go limp. This should startle your puppy and cause him to stop mouthing you, at least momentarily.😌😊

Attend to the biting immediately.
When puppies are really really small, you can notice a change in their expression when they are ready to bite. So keep some little chew toys and treats handy. The moment puppy bites a little, redirect her/ him towards biting the toy. Then lovingly caress and reward her/ him with a treat.
This positive reinforcement with a reward should be done frequently because puppies are trained really nicely through habit formation. All the best! 🌻

Teach your puppy bite inhibition
Learning how to moderate the force of a bite is very important for all dogs. But if they’ve learned bite inhibition, they understand that they shouldn’t bite down hard. Puppies naturally nip at each other while playing. If they bite too hard on their mother or littermate, the other dog will likely make a loud yelp sound, warning the puppy, “Hey, that hurt!”
when puppy bite too hard make a loud "ouch "
-Teach your puppy that biting means “game over”
-Give your puppy an alternative item to chew
It’s a good idea to keep a puppy chew toy at hand at all times

-Reinforce behaviors you desire
We sometimes forget that when our puppy is calm and quiet, we should reinforce that with a “good dog” or a piece of kibble or a pat. You’ll help them learn what behaviors you’re looking for through positive reinforcement.
-Never hit your dog
Never, ever hit or otherwise physically punish your dog. If your pet seems to be biting out of aggression, speak to a veterinarian or dog trainer about ways to manage that behavior.

You may also provide some frozen bites that can help in pup's teething. There are natural bites available too, just avoid giving raw hide bones.

💯 agree with you Ann! Punishment is a big no. Only rewards, no shunning or punishing. It's inhumane, however difficult it gets. Never ever scare any pet. It's our responsibility to control our temper. They don't owe us anything. 🤞

Be gentle with them when they are harsh while biting, treat them slowly to calm down, give them teether toys whenever they bite you or any other thing.
