For quick home remedies, I came across a topic on flea prevention wherein it's mentioned coconut oil to be topically applied on fur baby.
Also, higher the Lauric acid content, the better. How to find out that?

My pup is going through the scabies which is irritable itchy skin with rash and vet suggested us to go for a coconut oil application twice a week and we can also feed a single spoon thrice a week which can shine his coat and helps with many other diseases as well. Also, the fish oil seems the best with coconut oil. These two can be applied or eaten, it is not just about the lauric acid,.

Hello there! I've been applying coconut oil produced at my homeland Kerala on Adore's fur for quite sometime and i can tell a difference, We usually apply it before giving her a bath, keeping it for atleast an hour and then after bathing her fur becomes so soft. We also sometimes add oil to her food, not too much just a spoon, twice or thrice a week. By applying the oil to infected skin,it soothes it

โพCoconut oil kills and repels fleas due to the ingredient lauric acid. This solution can be rubbed through your petโs coat or given to them orally. Add 1 teaspoon per 20 pounds of body weight twice daily in the food or offer as a special treat. Coconut oil melts at 76 degrees, so rubbing it between your hands will make it into a liquid that you can rub through your pet's coat.๐ด Coconut oil moisturizes skin and helps kill yeast, too.

Coconut oil does not kill fleas, but it serves as an excellent flea and tick repellant. One of the saturated fats that are found in coconut oil is called lauric acid, which is a critical ingredient in preventing fleas from feasting on the blood of your beloved pooch.
And
it's non-toxic so if your pet licks it, it is safe.๐บ๐บ

Ok, one quick curious question. ๐ Since we're talking coconuts, can puppies play with coconut shell? Or it's harmful or anything I should worry about?

coconut husk is indeed passable in ๐ดsmall quantities๐ดSince the fibers that make up the husk are natural, dogs can easily digest and pass the fibers.
