How much calcium is required for a 5mo Labrador Retriever puppy? I feel 5 ml as recommended by our previous vet is less. Does it vary from brand to brand? Can you share your experience with your furbaby feeding? Thank you 💞

Yes it depends on the composition of calcium in your product. So decide the dosage with your vet and give based on his condition.

NRC and AAFCO agree that puppies need at least 3 mg of calcium per Calorie (three times the amount of calcium that adult dogs need on a caloric basis). The maximum amount of calcium that puppies should get is 4.5 mg per kcal (4.5 g/Mcal).😊😊
1mg = 0.001ml

5 ml / 1 teaspoon can be given per 10 kg body weight or serve as recommended by the veterinarian. Add recommended quantity in current food by mixing well and feeding your pet. Shake well before use.

Thanks Dr Rohan. Any specific brand/s you would recommend? In addition to it, I give curd and buttermilk alternately.
